Ngu Brothers unveils Nissan Serena S-Hybrid
SIBU: Ngu Brothers Motor Service Sdn Bhd unveiled the new 2022 Nissan Serena SHybrid with 360° Safety shield at its showroom in Lot 1187, Jalan Salim here yesterday.
Its directors Dato Sri Peter Ngu and Datin Sri Esther Kong officiated at the launch of the two variants – Highway Star and Premium Highway Star with 360° Safety Shield for enhanced motoring safety and proven SHybrid tech for improved fuel economy in city driving.
According to Edaran Tan Chong Motor’s press release, the new Serena S-Hybrid’s 360° safety shield enhances active safety with an extensive range of systems improve driver’s awareness of the surroundings as well as take action to prevent collision.
These are Intelligent Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
While most systems alerts driver to another vehicle nearby and risk of collision, Intelligent Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking systems radar sensor in front of the vehicle detects the distance two cars ahead and their relative speed to assess the situation and determine collision risk.
Nissan S-Hybrid tech continues to power the MPV with the hybrid drivetrain incorporating Energy Control (ECO) electric motor which controls idle-stop system.
It also provides torque assistance on moving off, the period when the engine is under high load, where the assistance reduces this load, thereby improving fuel efficiency.
The S-Hybrid system gives some of the benefits of a hybrid powertrain without the associated high costs.
The petrol engine of 2.0-litre Twin CVTC (Continuouslyvariable Valve Timing Control) 4-cylinder unit has proven its reliability and durability over the years. Dual Arm Tensioner optimises tensile force on the belt to reduce friction, power losses and increases fuel efficiency. Eco Mode can be activated to improve fuel efficiency without losing driving pleasure or comfort.
Serena S-Hybrid is an energy efficient vehicle with fuel consumption of 14.2 kms per litre with ability to travel up to 852 kms on a full tank, reducing the need to refuel frequently.
The new Serena S-Hybrid makes travelling in MPVs more convenient and enjoyable for the driver and passengers. Standard features of Dual Back Door and Hands-Free Dual Power Sliding Doors unique to the Serena provides convenient and faster access to the ample cargo area.
The spacious versatile seat configuration to a 7-seater is a strong selling point of the new Serena S-Hybrid. Extra comfortable Captain Seats on the second row come with individual armrests and extra-long slide adjustment.
The front passengers and those on the second row enjoy superior comfort in Zero Gravity Seats at neutral posture position proven to reduce fatigue according to NASA studies.
On the road (OTR) price with insurance for Highway Star is RM155,800.00; PHWS (EXT Black) is RM167,000.00 (OTR with insurance) and Premium HWS at RM169,000.00 (OTR with insurance).
