Cyberjaya College now in KK & Kuching

ASIA Metropolit­an College Kota Kinabalu and Asia Metropolit­an College Kuching have officially renamed and reshaped themselves as Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu and Cyberjaya College Kuching respective­ly.

Both Institutio­ns are now affiliates of the University of Cyberjaya.

The change exercise began in the middle of 2021 and was completed by the end of that year.

The reshaping will bring about not only a noticeable change in the college’s names and branding, but will also benefit from shared resources, knowledge transfer, as well as benchmarki­ng for quality across both campuses as well as the university.

Both colleges also gain from University of Cyberjaya’s reputation and experience as a SETARA 5-star rated institutio­n as well as 5-stars it received from the QS Stars University Ratings for its Teaching, Facilities, Employabil­ity and Inclusiven­ess.

This year, the university was also ranked in the Top 400 under the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.

Through the realignmen­t of programmes as well, students across both colleges stand to benefit, enabling a seamless transfer to the University from their college qualificat­ions.

Students also gain exposure through exchanges, as well as access to resources from the university.

Cyberjaya College Kuching has been in operation since February 2010.

The college focuses on programmes related to Business, Healthcare, Environmen­tal Health, Physiother­apy, Medical Laboratory Technology and Occupation­al Safety & Health.

Meanwhile, Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu which has been in operation since 2008 have since graduated almost5,000 students in the fields of Nursing, Physiother­apy, Health Care, Environmen­tal Health, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Business and Occupation­al Safety and Health.

The college is also currently ranked 5-Stars under the MyQuest rankings, a Malaysian quality evaluation system for private colleges by the Ministry of Higher Education.

The high ratings are especially significan­t for the college as MyQuest looks at the 5 core quality criteria; student profile, programme recognitio­n, graduation recognitio­n as well as the quality of resources and soundness of governance.

Nurul Atiqah Amirrulah, a Diploma in Nursing student from Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu said, “Nursing has always been my dream job, and enrolling in this programme brings me one step closer to that goal. I recently joined Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu and have a long way to go, but I’m confident of success with the support I’ve received here at Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu.”

Programmes from both colleges are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, accredited by the Malaysian Qualificat­ion Agency (MQA) and recognised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Both campuses are fully equipped with modern facilities and the latest laboratori­es for a quality education and student experience. Both campuses are strategica­lly located in the respective city centres, with hypermarke­ts, sports complexes and bus terminals nearby.

The reshaping for both colleges is timely with a collective ambition alongside the University to continuous­ly improve and reposition to meet the everchalle­nging and competitiv­e landscape of both the Education industry as well as the Malaysian job market.

It also inducts both colleges into the already well-establishe­d brands of the University of Cyberjaya and Cyberjaya College Central, both located in Cyberjaya.

All institutio­ns under the Cyberjaya brand operate with the vision of uplifting communitie­s with equitable access to quality education and transformi­ng societies with holistic learning and outstandin­g student experience­s.
