SJK Chung Hua Tondong gets RM1.225 mln allocation
BAU: SJK Chung Hua Tondong yesterday received financial allocation of RM1.225 million from the state government.
Deputy Premier Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian personally went to school to hand over a cheque for the amount to the school’s board of management chairman Lee Say Hin.
Deputy Minister of Transport Dato Henry Harry Jinep, who is Tasik Biru assemblyman, was also present.
The funds will be used to build new blocks in the school which has a student population comprising Chinese and nonChinese.
The school was previously allocated RM800,000 and RM500,000 in government funds in 2021 and 2020, respectively.
Members of Association of Board of Management of Aided Chinese Primary Schools Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions led by their president Dato Jonathan Chai also witnessed the handing-over ceremony.
