Condo unit owners ask: Where are our strata titles?
KUCHING: More than 200 unit owners of a condominium at Lorong Wan Alwi here have not received their strata title a er almost two decades of ownership.
The condominium’s commi ee chairman Teo Kuang Kim said the owners were very unhappy with the developer who has yet to resolve the issue for the past 18 years.
“Since the units were handed over to the respective owners in 2004, they have not received the strata titles until today,” he told a press conference yesterday.
Teo, who is a member of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), said the condominium commi ee had wri en numerous times to the developer as well as the Land and Survey Department to enquire when the strata titles would be issued.
“The developer gave many excuses and it has been so many years and I feel that the developer is dragging his feet,” he said.
He added what the owners wanted most was for the developer to expedite the ma er and provide a deadline on when the strata titles would be issued.
“We urge the developer to get the titles issued as soon as possible,” he said.
