MIRI: The Industrial Training Institute (ILP) Miri has recently signed a smart partnership agreement with Miri Technical College (MTECH) and Beyond Horizon Ventures Sdn Bhd.

ILP Miri was represented by its director Mustal Makmud and deputy director Vivian Dana Kunsu.

According to ILP Miri, the agreement is a follow-through from the institute’s initiative in se ing up a drone centre.

The drone centre, set up by ILP Miri will function as a training centre to introduce drone technology, provide training and drone related services, cultivate interest in the field as well as advance the drone industry.

This is in line with the government’s desire to move towards the fourth industrial revolution (IR 4.0) era.

ILP Miri is a government institution under the Human Resource Department that functions to prepare and run pre-employment skills training programs to meet the needs of the industrial sector in Malaysia as well as improve the skill level of workers and trainees for the industrial sector through various programmes.
