Vaie community urged to remain united

-

BINTULU: The Vaie community is urged to maintain their unity to remain strong and to ensure their voices are heard.

Anaq Vaie Bintulu Association (PAVB) president Pandi Suhaili welcomes the establishment of other Vaie community associations that share a common goal to improve their livelihood.

He said PAVB is proud that other associations have been established in the division such as Persatuan Anak Jati Jepak.

“With more similar associations, the voices of the Vaie community will be heard more,” he said at the 12th PAVB anniversary dinner on Thursday.

He said having similar associations was not an issue as long as they were fighting for the same cause.

Pandi said for their voices to be heard, they must be united.

He said PAVB always strives to improve the dignity of the Vaie people, thus called for more support from the local Vaie.

State Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, Bintulu Development Authority deputy chairman and PAVB advisor Dato Haidar Khan Asghar Khan, and Progressive Democratic Party president Dato Sri Tiong King Sing were among those present at the dinner.
