Water supply disruption in Simanggang, nearby areas Nov 22-23

KUCHING: The entire Simanggang town and nearby areas will be affected by water supply disruption from Nov 22 to 23 due to equipment installation works, said Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB).

“The disruption and low water pressure will occur from 8am until the installation work is completed.

“It is to allow JBALB appointed contractors to install digital equipment at the Bayai clean-water treatment plant and the Bayai raw-water pump house. The installation will be done as quickly as possible,” it said in a scheduled work notice.

Consumers are advised to store sufficient amount of water ahead of the disruption.

JBALB Sarawak said it will ensure that water supply is restored as soon as possible to the affected areas.
