Speaking to reporters after casting his vote with the help of a friend, Muhammad Alwi said he wanted to exercise his duty as a Malaysian to vote in this parliamentary election.

“I come here today to fulfil my responsibility as a citizen of Malaysia and I feel that I have the obligation to honour my duty for the country,” said Muhammad Alwi, while expressing hope that his vote will help in building the nation.

Muhammad Alwi, who was accompanied by his good friend, Douglas Goh, was glad that he could bring an assistant whom he can trust to the polling centre to

help him cast his vote.

On future election process for people with disability or special

needs, he suggested for the Braille code system to be incorporated in the voting process so that

the blind community can fully participate, without having to ask for anyone’s assistance.
