Timmy advances into World Cup Bowling last four

KUALA LUMPUR: Timmy Tan remains the country’s sole representative at the 2022 International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Cup in Australia after advancing to the men’s singles semi-finals yesterday.

In the quarter-final action at the Suncity Bowl in Queensland, Timmy subdued former 2018 world champion and fellow countryman Muhammad Rafiq Ismail with a 2-1 victory.

Timmy will meet Germany’s Paul Purps in the semi-finals, with the German upstaging Malaysian former World Cup champion Mohd Syafiq Ridhwan Abdul Malek. — Bernama
