Motorcyclevan collision claims life of senior citizen

A senior citizen died after his motorcycle collided with a van near Kampung Ensebang Kuari, Jalan Serian-Sri Aman yesterday afternoon.

A witness claimed the van was turning into a junction to head back towards Kuching when it was struck on the left side by the motorcycle.

The collision caused the victim, identified as Anggat Ajun, 64, from Kampung Tapang Lebat, to be thrown off his machine. He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Serian Hospital.

The body was handed over to police and sent to the hospital’s forensics department.
