MoA signed between Unimas, UBS, IBS College

MIRI: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was inked between Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), Unimas Business School (UBS) and IBS College on Nov 8.

The MoA was an extension of the existing agreement that was signed in 2017.

IBS College chairman Dr Antony Hii in his speech thanked Unimas and UBS for the renewal of the strategic alliance which he deemed as crucial for the future of higher education, especially in Miri.

“The collaborat­ion between UBS and IBS College has attracted many profession­al workers in oil and gas sector in Miri to pursue their tertiary education,” said Hii.

IBS College has been appointed as Unimas learning centre in Miri since 2017 to deliver Master’s Degree courses which include Corporate Masters in Business Administra­tion (CMBA) and Masters in Human Resource Developmen­t.

IBS College was also represente­d by its principal and chief executive officer Dr Lau Pun Lee.

Unimas, meanwhile, was represente­d by vice chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi; Board of Directors chairman Tan Sri Sulong Matjeraie, UBS CEO Prof Dr Puah Chin Hong; registrar Azlan Ramli, and Strategic Planning, Quality and Risk Management Centre director Prof Dr Tarmiji Masron.
