End rural areas’ water woes — Machan assemblyman

-

MACHAN assemblyman Allan Siden Gramong has urged the relevant ministry and government agency to resolve water supply issues in his constituency.

He pointed out the issues of low water pressure and clean water supply in the rural areas, especially in Kanowit and Machan.

“Until now the people in the areas are still facing these problems, especially during peak times or festival season,” he said when debating the State Budget 2023.

“At times, they resort to other alternatives, either by storing water in the blue barrels or in buckets, while limiting its use for drinking and sanitation purposes.

“I request that state government pay serious attention to areas such as Kanowit, Machan town, Majau,

Batu Luking, Mam, Menalun, Poi, Ulu Poi, Ulu Machan and Menuan.

“It is my hope that the relevant Ministry and government agency can resolve this issue immediately so that residents of Machan can enjoy clean water supply,” he said.
