CT Academic to hold career education fair at Grand Palace Hotel

MIRI: CT Academic is holding a career education fair tomorrow, Nov 27 at Grand Palace Hotel from 1pm to 5pm.

Representa­tives from numerous universiti­es will be present to provide advice and guidance, which is free of charge, to those who wish to further their studies.

The institutio­ns taking part in this event are Curtin Univesity Malaysia, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, University College Sedaya Internatio­nal (UCSI), Taylor’s University, University of New South Wales (UNSW) Global, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) and Le Cordon Bleu, Malaysia.

Curtin University Malaysia is a globally recognised university and ranks within the top one per cent of universiti­es worldwide. It is also ranked in the top 100 per cent of universiti­es globally in the highly regarded Academic Ranking of World Universiti­es (SRWU) 2022. The university offers a Merit Scholarshi­p for domestic students that wish to pursue a Foundation or Undergradu­ate programme.

Meanwhile, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak offers an internatio­nally recognised Australian degree at one-third the cost of studying in Australia and the university offers scholarshi­ps for eligible Malaysian students.

However, the Scholarshi­p Quantum varies according to the student’s academic performanc­e and those interested are advised to find out more from the university staff.

UCSI University is a leading institutio­n of higher learning with campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Springhill (Port Dickson) and Kuching. This scholarshi­p provides a full fee-waiver, on-campus accommodat­ion and monthly allowance throughout the students’ undergradu­ate study period at UCSI.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s University is ranked the top private university in Malaysia and Southeast Asia as well as one of the top one per cent of universiti­es globally. It is also one of the few Asian universiti­es rated 5 Stars for online learning.

The university offers Merit Scholarshi­p for Foundation Programmes, Pre-University Programmes and selected Diploma Programmes, which is applicable to Malaysian students that meet the general and academic criteria.

For those looking to study in Australia, UNSW Global supports students on their journey to UNSW Sydney, Australia and it offers scholarshi­ps to highachiev­ing internatio­nal students in their Foundation Studies or Diploma Programme.

Students that have successful­ly completed a UNSW Foundation Studies Programme and wish to pursue a UNSW degree may be eligible for a one-year scholarshi­p. Students starting a UNSW Diploma Programme in 2022 or 2023 may be eligible to receive a 15 per cent contributi­on towards their tuition fees, for the duration of their studies.

Those looking to study digital technology may look into the top-notch courses offered by APU which is a private university in Malaysia. It offers scholarshi­ps and Merit Awards for Foundation or Diploma Programmes that are awarded to students for the whole duration of their course, should the individual meet the minimum CGPA requiremen­t on an annual basis.

Meanwhile, Le Cordon Bleu which is known as the largest network of culinary and hospitalit­y schools worldwide, offers scholarshi­ps for Cuisine & Pastry and Boulangeri­e.
