KUALA LUMPUR: ‘Temaniku’, the theme of the animation series Mechamato released by Animonsta Studios Sdn Bhd (Monsta) has been streamed 8,000 times since it was released on several online music platforms on Nov 18.

Monsta in a statement yesterday said the song sung by popular singer and songwriter Muhammad Haqeem Nuriman Nor Azrin, or better known as Yonnyboii, was released on platforms such as Spotify, JOOX, Apple Music, KKBOX, Deezer and iTunes Store.

Its chief operating officer Kee Yong Pin expressed excitement at being able to work with an influential singer who has tuned into the vibe of today’s younger generation.

“Coming together to achieve a common goal is the biggest message and inspiration for this theme song. Whether it is the strong bond among friends, family, team or special someone, this song has a message that is suitable for all,” he said.

He added that the song was co-created with composer Fitri Zain and published by Universal Music Malaysia and Monsta.

“Also watch the lyrics of the ‘Temaniku’ video on the Monsta YouTube Channel,” said Kee, adding that the screening of ‘Mechamato Movie’ produced by Monsta and Astro Shaw would be screened in cinemas nationwide from Dec 8.

According to Monsta, ‘Temaniku’ is the third original song co-produced by Monsta after the song ‘Fire & Water’ sung by Faizal Tahir from the movie BoBoiBoy Movie 2 (2019) and ‘Masih Di Sini’ sung by Bunkface from the movie BoBoiBoy The Movie (2016).

“Mechamato Movie is the third film in the Monsta Heroes 3D animation franchise produced by Monsta over the past decade,” it said.
