New advanced hybrid launched: A first for Civic and Honda Malaysia
Honda Malaysia has officially launched the Civic e:HEV RS, an additional variant in the Civic line-up, powered by a new 2.0L e:HEV powertrain. This new variant joins the expanding line-up of Honda e: HEV models which include City, City Hatchback and the All-New HR-V.
“Early this year, we welcomed the 11th Generation Civic to the Malaysian market. The model received great responses from Malaysians with close to 7,000 units sold to date and achieved No.1 Position in its segment with 81 per cent market share as of September 2022. And for that, a big thank you to our customers and in particular, Civic fans for their continued trust in the Honda brand,” Hironobu Yoshimura, managing director and chief executive officer of Honda Malaysia said.
From its eco friendly Power Flow Display to the system of its reduced outside noise, there is so much to like for those car enthusiasts, not forgetting those who are seeking for a more enhanced driving experience.
With the newest addition of 2.0L e:HEV powertrain which
combines two electric motors that provides an exciting and powerful performance for a daily driving Hybrid car, the latest variant promises a superior driving experience for Civic customers.
On the other hand, the new key features of the Civic e:HEV RS interior are Wireless Charger
and the Key Card. The Key Card is a compact, convenient and exclusive design approach to keyless remote.
Another highlight is the HONDA Connect, aimed to provide peace of mind and easy access to the vehicle’s information.
Equipped with an Electric
Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT) and an Intelligent Power Unit (IPU), this new Honda Hybrid variant can reach up to 184PS of a maximum power output in addition to its benchmark setting 315Nm of torque which suceeds in its segment and comparable with Dsegment models.
Other additional features of the Civic e:HEV RS include Chrome Ring Insert Headlight and Front Grille, Black Half Chrome Door Handle, as well as the unique Blue H Mark and e:HEV emblem. To further enhance its sporty look and performance, an 18-inch Dual Tone Alloy Wheels and a Single Tailpipe Finisher are also introduced in this new variant.
As with all Honda models, the Civic e:HEV RS comes equipped with the full suite of enhanced Honda SENSING safety features.
Available in Ignite Red, Meteoroid Gray, Platinum White Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl, the interiors of this Honda Civic variant offer an all-new 10.2-inch Full TFT Meter. With the on-theroad price of RM 166,500.00, this car is furnished with a 9-inch Advanced Display Audio and Wireless Apple CarPlay.
