Man on drugs arrested for assault

A man in his 30s was arrested Friday on suspicion of assaulting his father for refusing to give him money to buy drugs.

The suspect from Sibu Jaya went berserk after his father refused to give in to his demand and destroyed some of the items in the house.

He allegedly assaulted his father, causing the latter to suffer from facial injuries.

Fearing for his safety, the victim lodged a police report on the same day.

The suspect was later arrested by the Mobile Police Vehicle (MPV) police personnel for investigation.
