Boulevard Hypermarke­t holds JMKM

KUCHING: The ‘Program Jualan Murah Keluarga Malaysia’ (JMKM) is currently taking place at Boulevard Hypermarke­t here from Nov 26 to 27.

Promotiona­l items listed consist of basic food and everyday items - wet goods such as chicken, fresh chicken wings, mackerel and sardine fish; STF low cholestero­l eggs (L); dry food items such as Maggi instant noodles (only for curry and chicken flavours); white sugar; Epal brand 1-kg cooking oil, toilet tissue rolls and assorted softener refills - to name a few.

Customers can purchase chicken for only RM7.99 per kilogramme; fresh chicken wings for only RM 10.99/kg; mackerels and sardines for RM4.99/kg, low cholestero­l eggs (L) for RM13.99 per tray, and Epal 1-kg cooking oil for RM2.50.

“The JMKM under the supervisio­n of the federal Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) aims to provide consumers the opportunit­y to acquire basic items at a lower price.

“This programme is part of the government’s initiative to help ease the burden of higher living cost; especially those from the lower income group,” said Boulevard Hypermarke­t manager (Hypermarke­t and Wet Items) Arlston Franck.

The programme was launched by KPDNHEP Sarawak deputy director Peter J Berinus Agang.

During the walkabout at the hypermarke­t’s wet goods and cold storage area, he was accompanie­d by Boulevard Hypermarke­t (Kuching) Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Joseph Wong as well as Arlston.

Arlston announced that aside from the PJMKM promotion, the hypermarke­t is also having its own promotions of more than 100 products.

“Our own promotion is extended until the end of this month,” he told reporters.
