Fish for cash in Dec 3 Sarikei’s Fishing Safari

SARIKEI: Attractive cash prizes await winners of the upcoming ‘Fishing Safari’ organised by Land and Survey Department Sarikei Division in conjunction with Sarikei Pineapple and Fruits Festival 2022.

The fishing competition is to be held this Dec 3 from 7.30am to 3pm at Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Nyelong Waterfront here in Sarikei.

The organiser in a press statement said the competition will be divided into two categories – river and riverbank.

River category offers RM10,000, RM2,000 and RM1,000 cash prizes for first, second and third place winners respectively, while seven consolation winners will receive RM500 each.

For the river bank category, the first place winner will walk home with RM8,000 cash prize. Second and third place winners will receive RM1,000 and RM800 respectively, meanwhile seven consolation prize winners will get RM200 each, the statement said.

Interested participants can obtain entry forms from Sarikei Divisional Land and Survey Office, Level 3, Wisma Jubli Mutiara.
