- Irene C

St Joseph’s International School recently celebrated its fi h anniversary together with the Year 11 graduation ceremony.

The ceremony was preceded by a mass led by Most Reverend Archbishop Simon Poh, who then expressed his wish for abundant strength, good health and stoic determination to the schoolleavers.

Since its establishment five years ago, the school has had its share of both struggles and success.

In tandem with the Marist humility and faith, the graduation was celebrated with a simple reminder that glory would only possible be with collective effort and collaborative perseverance.

The school’s chief executive officer Christopher Chua talked about graduating not being the end, but rather the beginning of a new and exciting journey.

Principal Br Robert Teoh wished all graduates courage and perseverance to overcome the hurdles ahead.

The ceremony included engaging performances that showcased the students’ talents.

The memorable event was wrapped up with the graduates receiving their certificates.

It was a proud moment for both students and parents, and an inspiration for the juniors.

The management expressed its gratitude to the sponsors of door gi s and flowers, and to Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus for sponsoring the extension of the stage.
