Akard Award to recognise 104 insurance profession­als’ excellent achievemen­t

The National Associatio­n of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (Namlifa) Miri branch is having its annual Akard Award today at Meritz Hotel.

Over 100 attendees are expected including outstandin­g insurance agents, executives and managers from the life insurance industry in the northern region of Sarawak.

The award ceremony rewards and gives recognitio­n to individual­s, supervisor­s and managers with an outstandin­g performanc­e for the year of 2021.

This recognitio­n also aims to encourage those in the insurance and family takaful industry to continue their efforts in sharing the benefits and importance of life insurance to members of public; as well as educate people to obtain protection through risk diversific­ation.

This year’s award will recognise 104 individual­s with excellent achievemen­t within the industry while welcoming 25 life insurance agents who had successful­ly passed the insurance-based designatio­n programme (Fellow Certified Life Practition­er).

Namlifa organises profession­al courses; both physical and online to encourage life insurance practition­ers to adopt the spirit of lifelong learning which contribute­s to their profession­alism and accountabi­lity in the industry.

The Akard Award ceremony is expected to be graced by Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin.
