SBC hosts talk on ‘Green Hydrogen from Biomass’
KUCHING: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) is hosting a talk on ‘Green Hydrogen from Biomass’ today at 3pm.
SBC in a press release said the talk will be delivered by Prof Dr Masaharu Komiyama from Universiti Teknologi Petronas’ Chemical Engineering Department and Centre for Biofuel and Biochemical Research.
His research interest focuses on Catalysis and Physical Chemistry.
“Dr Komiyama will speak about green hydrogen that is produced through a carbon neutral route, the feedstocks used, and the possible technologies involved in green hydrogen production.
“Details of each process will be described and compared, along with the possibility of utilising biomass as a hydrogen carrier.
“Based on the current hydrogen value chain, possible quantum that could be supplied from biomass for sustainable and renewable energy will be discussed and addressed during the talk,” SBC said.
