SJK Chung Hua No 5 holds STEM Gamification workshop
KUCHING: SJK Chung Hua No 5 Kuching recently held a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Gamification workshop in collaboration with University Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Gamification Centre.
As many as 60 students took part as a team of lecturers comprising Dr Jacey-Lynn Minoi, Dr Tan Chong Eng, Dr Leonard Lim and Dr Jaya Laxshmi taught them the principles of team work, time management and cooperation that are useful in adapting to everyday challenges.
The students also had the opportunity to learn STEM in a fun way while rising up to the challenge of creating items out of materials that were made available during the workshop.
The school’s headmistress Chin Mui Ling thanked Dr JaceyLynn Minoi and her team from UNIMAS Gamification Centre for making the workshop a great success.
