He said a total of 37 participants from Kuching, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei, Mukah, Bintulu and Limbang would take part in the programme, themed ‘Keluarga Malaysia, Pemangkin Kemakmuran’ (Malaysian Family, Catalyst of Prosperity).

For the ‘hafazan’ category, the winner of Category 1-20 ‘Juzuk’ (section of the Quran) will receive RM4,000, a trophy and certificate.
The champion in Category 130 ‘Juzuk’ will walk away with RM3,000, a trophy and certificate.
On March 16, the ‘hafazan’ session will be held in the morning, and the ‘tilawah’ in the evening.
On March 14, there will be a talk on ‘Membangun Generasi Al-Quran’ (Developing AlQuran Generation) at the BDA Auditorium.
Apart from that, Misnu said the ‘Ihya Ramadan’ programme would also be held involving Masjid Darul Ibadah Tatau, Masjid Darul Makmur Kampung Jepak and Bintulu Civic Centre. He said the Sarawak Islamic Affairs Office would also host a ‘Kayuhan Harmoni’ at the compound of selected mosques.
“There will be Al-Quran quizzes in the evening during the recitation, with attractive prizes awaiting the winners. There will also be an exhibition by various agencies themed ‘Glorifying the Quran’ during the four-day event,” he added.
