These exhibitors are the NGOs advocating issues relating to environmental sustainable issues and human rights.
A team from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Miri, the organiser of the BSDG Summit, recently paid a courtesy call on state Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, to invite the latter to attend the event as its guest-of-honour.
Lee, who was inspired by the summit, called for the participation of Mirians to support the cause.
“I hope that the summit would spark meaningful discussions and actionable plans for sustainable development in the region. And most certainly, the participation of Miri people would mean they are actively taking part in shaping the future of Borneo’s sustainable development,” said Lee.
The BSDG Summit, he pointed out, could present an excellent opportunity for individuals, organisations and policymakers to come together and explore ways to create a more sustainable future for Borneo.
