BDA’s Landskap Lestari competition offering RM15,000 in cash prizes
BINTULU: Cash prizes totalling RM15,000 await the winners of Bintulu Development Authority’s (BDA) ‘Landskap Lestari Bintulu 2023’ competition.
BDA, in a statement, said the competition would be divided into four categories – House (nomination by JKKK); Industry/ Private; School; and Government Office.
The closing date for registration is noon on May 15 this year.
The top-three entries in the House category would receive RM1,000, RM750 and RM500, respectively; Industry/Private category (RM2,000, RM1,500 and RM1,000); School category (RM2,000, RM1,500 and RM1,000); and Government Office category (RM1,000, RM750 and RM500). All top entries would also receive a trophy and certificate each.
The competition is one of the many activities lined up by BDA to mark its 45th anniversary celebration this year, and also in line with its vision of making Bintulu a ‘Friendly Industrial City’ by 2025.
“This competition will give the opportunity to the Bintulu people to get involved in the environmental beautification and sustainability programmes in places under BDA’s jurisdiction,” it said.
The pre-selection of registration is on May 16, while the appraiser jury’s visit to the site is scheduled from June 5-16 before the announcement of the winners and prize giving on June 24.
The judging criteria will be based on design (30 per cent), cleanliness and beauty (30 per cent), sustainability (15 per cent), maintenance (15 per cent) and bonus (10 per cent).
