Hibiscus Petroleum’s new warehouse in Tok Bali to benefit Kelantan’s economy

-

The opening of Hibiscus Petroleum Oil and Gas Malaysia Ltd’s warehouse in the Tok Bali Supply Base (TBSB) next month is expected to generate more economic benefits for Kelantan, said chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Pascal Hos.

He said the decision to move was made to replace the company’s warehouse in Kemaman, Terengganu, taking into account that the area where the company’s oil exploration is located needs to be close to TBSB.

“As a company that pays attention to social responsibility, Hibiscus Petroleum handles programmes that would enhance the quality of life and the community’s social economy in the operation area.

“The presence of Hibiscus Petroleum in TBSB will further improve the economy of the people in Pasir Puteh and Kelantan through social service programmes that will be implemented by the company from time to time,” said Hos when attending the Pasir Puteh District Student Safety Campaign Programme at SMK Dato Ismail on Thursday.

The safety awareness campaign, organised by Hibiscus Petroleum, involved 400 students from six primary schools in the Pasir Puteh district and was in collaboration with various other agencies.

He said the company’s corporate social responsibility programmes in Kelantan this year included business management counselling to 20 “keropok” producers in Pasir Puteh.

“Counselling services in terms of marketing and technology usage in digital marketing were also provided.

“We will try to explore other economic sectors that can be developed from time to time in the state, especially those that impact economic generation in the local community,” Hos said.
