YaPEIM brings Raya clothing cheer for 4,000 Qaseh Madani recipients

Yayasan Pembanguna­n Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YaPEIM) has allocated RM500,000 to facilitate the distributi­on of Aidilfitri clothing under the Qaseh Madani Programme to enhance the celebratio­n of Hari Raya Aidilfitri for 4,000 recipients.

YaPEIM chief executive officer Ameer Ali Vali Mohamed said among the recipients are orphans, asnaf (tithe recipients) and B40 group people from various states, with the highest number of recipients from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor involving 1,325 individual­s, and Kedah with 1,092 individual­s.

“The Qaseh Madani Programme aims to provide them with the opportunit­y to celebrate Hari Raya with new clothes, and we hope that the contributi­ons will bring joy to the recipients during Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” he said during the programme held here yesterday.

Ameer Ali noted that the programme was also carried out in collaborat­ion with the Inland Revenue Board Executive Officers Associatio­n.

In other developmen­ts, Ameer Ali said YaPEIM had distribute­d over RM29.6 million last year through various programmes, including RM18.1 million for YaPEIM Prihatin, which focuses on the welfare and sustainabi­lity of targeted groups.

Among other programmes were YaPEIM Niaga amounting to RM5.7 million, YaPEIM Sinar Lestari (RM4.2 million), and YaPEIM Didik (RM1.7 million), which, according to Ameer Ali, were made possible through contributi­ons from various parties to Tabung Amanah YaPEIM.

Meanwhile, Siti Rahimah Nazruddin, 38, a mother of five, said that the contributi­on of Aidilfitri clothing provided significan­t assistance in easing the financial burden of her family in preparing for the festive season.
