YaPEIM brings Raya clothing cheer for 4,000 Qaseh Madani recipients
Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YaPEIM) has allocated RM500,000 to facilitate the distribution of Aidilfitri clothing under the Qaseh Madani Programme to enhance the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri for 4,000 recipients.
YaPEIM chief executive officer Ameer Ali Vali Mohamed said among the recipients are orphans, asnaf (tithe recipients) and B40 group people from various states, with the highest number of recipients from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor involving 1,325 individuals, and Kedah with 1,092 individuals.
“The Qaseh Madani Programme aims to provide them with the opportunity to celebrate Hari Raya with new clothes, and we hope that the contributions will bring joy to the recipients during Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” he said during the programme held here yesterday.
Ameer Ali noted that the programme was also carried out in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board Executive Officers Association.
In other developments, Ameer Ali said YaPEIM had distributed over RM29.6 million last year through various programmes, including RM18.1 million for YaPEIM Prihatin, which focuses on the welfare and sustainability of targeted groups.
Among other programmes were YaPEIM Niaga amounting to RM5.7 million, YaPEIM Sinar Lestari (RM4.2 million), and YaPEIM Didik (RM1.7 million), which, according to Ameer Ali, were made possible through contributions from various parties to Tabung Amanah YaPEIM.
Meanwhile, Siti Rahimah Nazruddin, 38, a mother of five, said that the contribution of Aidilfitri clothing provided significant assistance in easing the financial burden of her family in preparing for the festive season.
