Yayasan MR D.I.Y unveils inaugural scholarship programme
KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan MR D.I.Y has introduced its firstever scholarship programme aimed at providing financial support to Malaysian students who are pursuing their further education.
According to Yayasan MR D.I.Y chief executive officer Zaleha Mohd Mydin, the scholarship programme is made available to undergraduate students who display outstanding academic achievements, strong leadership skills, and a deep commitment to serving their community.
“The foundation firmly believes in the power of education to bring about positive change.
“Our goal is to create a positive influence on the lives of young Malaysians, empowering them to become future leaders who will make a lasting impact on our country and communities,” said Zaleha in a statement.
The foundation has also announced its first two scholarship recipients, Cheong Wai Kee and Tan Zhi Liang.
Wai Kee is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, while Zhi Liang is undertaking the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Accounting programme.
Both are students of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) Kampar Campus in Perak.
“Zhi Liang and Wai Kee have both shown excellent traits, and we hope that Yayasan MR D.I.Y’s support and acknowledgement would encourage more young Malaysians to aim for the same,” said Zaleha.
Founded in June last year, Yayasan MR D.I.Y is dedicated to promoting environmental protection, improving health, fostering capacity-building, and nurturing arts and culture.
