PETALING JAYA: Sunview Group Berhad (Sunview) via its whollyowned subsidiary, Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd (Fabulous Sunview) has entered into a collaboration agreement with Rafa KSE Development Sdn Bhd (Rafa KSE Development), project owner for the construction of houses in Kawasan Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) for the programme “Projek Perumahan Tanah Berkelompok FELDA”.

Under the agreement, on top of being the designated EPCC provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, Fabulous Sunview will also provide advisory services for the construction of roofing for the installation of the solar PV systems. Rafa KSE Development shall bundle the projects together with the solar PV systems of Fabulous Sunview to the purchasers, for the mutual benefit of both parties.

Sunview’s chief business development officer Vincent Ng said, “Our partnership with RKDSB signifies a significant stride towards enhancing solar energy solutions for residential properties.

“By leveraging on Rafa KSE Development’ s extensive network and expertise in property development, this collaboration enables us to tap into Rafa KSE Development’s well-established distribution channels and strong local presence, ensuring that our solar energy solutions are readily available and accessible to homeowners across various regions.

“This not only leads to long-term cost savings for homeowners but also allows them to make a positive environmental impact.”

This partnership aims to provide solar PV systems for about 5,400 houses, leading to a reduction of around 5.4 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions.

This objective aligns with recent government incentives such as the Net Energy Metering (NEM) scheme and the introduction of the Solar for rakyat incentive scheme (SolaRIS).

“By integrating solar PV systems into residential properties, we are paving the way for a new generation of houses that are not only environmentally friendly but also economically beneficial for homeowners.

“Through our collective expertise and resources, we aim to drive innovation, promote renewable energy adoption, and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future for generations to come.

“This collaboration is further bolstered by the Malaysian government’s initiatives in promoting the adoption of renewable energy, targeting a renewable energy goal of 70 per cent by 2050 and ultimately achieving net zero emissions in the future,” he added.
