S.H.I.E.L.D soar as Maydeeq plunge in Week 2

KUCHING: Defending champion S.H.I.E.L.D dislodged Maydeeq on the leaderboar­d in the 18-team Megalanes Sarawak Civil Service League in the second week of competitio­n at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa last week.

The trio of Hettysuzan­a Bustari, Marzainah Jayamara and Dr Bemen Wong Win Keong blanked the first week leader Maydeeq 20-0 to earn 46.08 Peterson points for a total of 85.00 in pole position.

Hettysuzan­a is in second spot in the Individual High Game (Handicap) and Best Female (Handicap) categories with 256 and 868 pinfalls. Her exploits also kept the team on top in the Team High Game (Scratch) with 623 pinfalls and Team Hight Series (Scratch) with 2,312.

Maydeeq plunged to 10th spot following the defeat.

The Dynamixxx trio of Nur Diyana Musa, Muhd Syarifuddi­n Saleh and Abdul Muhaimin Fitri Mohamed, climbed to second place after defeating Practice Throw 19-1 for 43.08 points for a tally of 83.35.

Kuching Water Board’s Junaidi Suaidi, Kamariah Ghazali Hamdzah and Abang Muhammad Sufian Abu Seman stayed in the top three despite a 12-8 victory over SUK Bowlers. They earned 33.07 points for a total of 74.71.

Teams from fourth to 18th positions are Edu Team, PWD Strikers, The Gambit’s Knights, UiTM Bowlers, Pin Pocket, The Cops, Maydeeq, FRDM Sarawak, De’1D, The Cannon Balls, SUK Bowlers, Practice Throw, Golden Dragon Bowlers, Undergroun­d and Bowling Stone.

Faizul Rahim Ulis from Pin Pocket is leading the Individual High Series (Handicap) as well as Best Senior (Handicap) with 945 pinfalls.

He contribute­d to his team’s leading position in the Team High Game (Handicap) and Team High Series (Handicap) with 667 and 2,532 pinfalls respective­ly.

Siti Hajjar Saibi from Edu Team lies second in the Individual High Series (Handicap) with 901, overtaking Dayang Salina of Gold Dragon Bowlers in the Best Female (Scratch) with 801.
