Helping students make the right decision

As the premier education counselling centre for overseas studies in the region, JM education Counselling Centre (JMeCC) is in the forefront of advising students and parents on the best pathways to reaching their goals.

the proliferation of local providers in the region, especially Malaysia, may seem to be a viable and convenient option for students to obtain pre-university qualifications to enter into the universities of their choice.

However, from JMeCC’s experience and perspective, getting a pre-university qualification overseas has many advantages. one of the most common pathways available to overseas students is on-campus foundation programmes in Britain, Australia, the United states, singapore, new Zealand and Canada with guaranteed progression. the programme is open to sPM, sM2 and o-level students.

students will progress to the tertiary level at a university of their choice upon completion of the programme.

Most of the foundation courses offer guaranteed entry to a university degree. this is the most attractive aspect of undertaking preuniversity studies overseas.

JMeCC represents a group of leading uni- versities that accepts sPM/o-level graduates into its four-year degree programmes in the United states and Canada. the good news is that no sAt results are required for entry.

JMeCC is organising its annual PreUniversity information Day at subang Jaya, Bandar Utama, Johor Baru and Kuching on April 7 and 14 (sunday) from 1pm to 5pm.

Disillusioned students at local colleges should take the opportunity to make the switch and transfer overseas at the next available intakes in April, July and september.
