Experienced emcee to be the voice of Ipoh starwalk again
THE ever charming KT Pillai will be back once again as the master of ceremony for this year’s extravaganza.
He has hosted every Ipoh Starwalk since its inception in 2004.
With over 25 years of experience as an emcee and host under his belt, the multi-lingual KT is a true blue Ipoh lad who has remained humble and approachable to the core despite being a celebrity of sorts in his hometown.
His resume is too lengthy for any profile page mainly because of his multitude of achievements, accolades and a seemingly endless roll call of loyal customers that want him at their events.
Perhaps the best ones to mention would be the innumerable nationallevel Open House celebrations he has hosted that were attended by the Yang di-Pertuan Agung and his Raja Permaisuri as well as the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers and foreign dignitaries and luminaries since 2007.
His royal engagements also include a large number of functions for the Perak Sultanate to whom he has remained the ‘priority Englishlanguage Master of Ceremony’ since 1998.
Through all the years, his events have been graced by every single PrimeMinister since TunDrMahathir Mohamad.
From 2001 to 2007, he was also the Official Master of Ceremonies for the high-profile national-level Miss Malaysia-Universe Grand Final and the Mrs Malaysia-World Pageantry Grand Final.
He later decided to narrow down his focus to avoid event congestion and exhaustion.
What makes KT unique amongst even the cream of the crop emcees in Malaysia is his language prowess.
He is unmatched in this regard and his broad language command is immediately evident in every single corporate event.
His excellent English is perfectly matched by his eloquent mastery of Malay and Cantonese.
