HOMESEAL Marketing revolutionised the home mosquito screen concept by introducing the magnetic insect screen in 1995. At that time, the market only had aluminum insect screens with unsightly bulky frames that trap dust and reduce ventilation.
Marketed under the HomeSeal brand, the magnetic insect screens are custom-made from noncombustible fibreglass reinforced mesh, which is UV stabilised. The mesh should not rot and stain easily. The frame of the screen is made from high-quality, flexible and colour co-ordinated plastic designer strip. The strip is laminated to stay permanently magnetised and has multiple poles. The fibreglass mesh is then bonded in between the plastic designer strip and magnetic strip by a special adhesion process.
Suitable for all window types from aluminum to wooden, HomeSeal magnetic screens fit nicely on sliding or outward pivoting windows. Even grilles pose no problem as the magnetic screens can be mounted unobtrusively on all types of grilles.
Security locks and handles can be accommodated to ensure a good fit onto the grilles. Any gap between the windows and grilles are sealed with plastic material or sealant at no extra cost.
The screens are mounted onto another set of magnetic strips to act as a base magnet on either grilles or window frames. This allows for a snapback action between the screen and base magnetic strips to ensure the best fit. The plastic and magnetic strips are less than half-an-inch wide and the whole contraption can be as thin as half a centimetre when in place. Retaining clips are placed at the top of each screen to ensure stability against strong wind.
HomeSeal magnetic insect screen can be easily cleaned by dislodging the light screen and wiping it with a damp cloth. The screen can also be lightly vacuumed without being removed. As the fibreglass mesh screen does not trap dirt and dust, there is no hindrance to the flow of fresh air into the house.
HomeSeal’s variety of colours give homeowners options to colour co-ordinate the insect screen to the home. Doorways and hallways can also be screened to keep out pesky flying and crawling insects.
