HAVING undergone a major renovation from the kitchen to the dining area, iconic Japanese buffet restaurant Saisaki springs a host of surprises for their guests.

This Hari Raya season, Saisaki invites all to indulge in a sumptuous buffet at the New Saisaki, Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant­s and Jang-Gun, Korean Buffet Restaurant.

Their Malaysian chefs and cooks have prepared a spread of traditiona­l local specialtie­s and favourites such as Ayam Percik Kelantan style, Ayam Penyek, Ikan Bakar, Lemang with Rendang, Kari Kambing, Daging Kurma, BBQ Lamb, Seafood Sambal, Sotong Sumbat, Nasi Impit, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Briyani and Nasi Tomato. Diners will be able to buka puasa and taste their “Muhibbah” menu specially created by celebrity chefs Chef Tambi Shah (New Saisaki and Jang-Gun), Chef Razali (Sunway), Chef Wira (One Utama) and Nazri (Solaris).

The restaurant­s offer more than 200 dishes, ranging from appetisers to mouth-watering desserts. Diners can feast on a variety of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Western and traditiona­l local delights.

Try their fusion-styled sushi, which includes Sushi Serunding, Rendang and Sambal, Temaki and handrolls.

The Korean buffet spread at Jang-Gun offers a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes prepared by its Korean chef. Tok Boki (rice cake), Jap-Cheh (fired glass noodles), Bulgogi’s Sun Dubu Chige (tofu stew), O Guk Bap (five grain rice), saeng kalbi (fresh beef ribs), ori gui (smoked duck) and yang kalbi (lamb ribs with chilli paste) are among the dishes prepared.

Other dishes include Double-boiled Ginseng Chicken Soup, Abalone Porridge, and Lamb Shank.

To satisfy your cravings for delicious meat, its Korean BBQ section offers a selection of beef, chicken, lamb, seafood, smoked duck and fresh salad wraps with condiments.

Complete your meal and indulge in tantalisin­g desserts like mochi, waffles, homemade delicacies, cakes, ice-cream, chocolate fondue, western-styled mousse, jellies and local delights ice-kacang and cendol.

If you wish for an extraordin­ary, exciting experience, the New Saisaki offers Squeezit, a dessert with a concept that comes from Hokkaido Japan. A frozen treat made from fresh pasteurise­d and homogenise­d milk, Saisaki invites diners to try it in a range of flavours.

Apart from dining in, SHOGUN2U offers catering services suitable for celebratio­ns during this festive season with selected menu to suit your budget and taste.
