Samsonite continues to push the two halves of an aspect that defines quality luggage bags.

Take its latest release, the Firelite, for instance. It is a highly durable spinner luggage bag that is made with Samsonite’s revolutionary Curv technology – a polypropylene material that is impact-resistant, lightweight and recyclable.
During the Firelite’s launch in Kuala Lumpur, Frantz Braha, the vice president of Samsonite South East Asia, explained that the Firelite is basically unbreakable.
Upon getting someone to stand on the bag to demonstrate its durability, he even made a joke, saying, “You’ll have to really take care and not fall off. The Firelite is unbreakable, but unfortunately humans are not built so.”

The Samsonite Firelite is priced from RM1,950 to RM2,450 and is available at all major department stores, as well as standalone outlets in Suria KLCC, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Mid Valley Megamall (KL); and 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Petaling Jaya). into context that indeed, this latest release from the brand is made to withstand wear and tear. Not only that though, the Firelite is also extremely light (weighing in at 2kg for the 20” model) and comes in attractive bright colours too.
“Style-wise, we’re becoming more lifestyle-oriented. We’re broadening our product portfolio to include not only luggage bags, but other travel accessories such as backpacks and business suitcases,” commented Braha.
He added: “I don’t think it is difficult to balance the two aspects of style and technology. It does not have to be one or another. The Firelite? It’s a very sleek product. Consider the interior of the bag for example – we pay a lot of attention to the finishing and the linings, and it certainly looks beautifully made.”
