GURNEY Plaza is marking National Day with exciting activities. Drop by the Al Fresco Area tomorrow night and enjoy the 56th Merdeka Celebration Live Band Performance and Children’s Cultural Wear Contest to be held from 8pm to 10.30pm.
Watch 20 finalists, aged five to 12, parade in cultural attire as they vie for prizes totalling over RM3,300. In between, there will be live band performances and quizzes with freebies to be given away.
Remember to check out the 56th Merdeka Celebration Artworks by students of Equator Academy of Art, displayed at the New Wing until Sept 1.
Two of the artworks, fashioned from recycled materials, depict heritage houses while two are made from mixed media and carving.

There is also the My Joyous Mid Autumn Moment Facebook Voting Contest, where the one with the photo getting the most likes stands to win a fragrance and shower set worth RM500 and Parkson vouchers worth RM100.

The voting period will run from Sept 13 to 19.
