Make the right choice

Do you want to win RM1,000? How about RM3,000? Then, tune in to Red FM and play the Watchu Want Now game to win yourself a wad of cash or a surprise gift. From now till Sept 29, Red FM has RM50,000 worth of cash and prizes to be given out.

Some have said Watchu Want Now is the easiest competition ever. All you need to do is decide if you want to take home the money you have won or opt for what’s in the mystery box.

The cue to call happens five times a day. Call 037728 1049 when you hear the cue and answer one simple trivia question. If you answer correctly, then you are given the choice to pick either the cash or the secret gift in the box.

What’s in the mystery box? Well, it could be a holiday package, a smartphone, a camera, a TV, movie tickets, chocolates or even Red FM’s announcer JJ’s socks!

Last Monday, Valerie Ng was the first listener to participate in Watchu Want Now. “I’m a regular Red FM listener and had heard the promos for this competition. The phrase Watchu Want Now really caught my attention,” Ng said. “Though I wasn’t really ready, I decided to give it a try when I heard the cue to call. And, boy, am I glad I called.”

She won RM500. When asked why she chose the cash over the box, Ng replied: “RM500 is a lot of money! That’s a whole shopping spree right there.”

However, by choosing the money, she missed out on winning an iPad mini.
