Making a difference

-

HIGH-achieving children are made up of more than just good personal behaviour and excellent exam results. Such was the thought of Low Seed Heong as she pondered on the future of her eight-year-old daughter, Tan Yi Xian.

She felt there was room for her daughter to improve in her studies and personal growth. The thought sparked her journey in search of a better education solution.

Low’s efforts led her to discover Wynkids in a newspaper article. Believing that the programme seemed like a great solution, she immediately enrolled Yi Xian in the programme.

“Personally, I thought that the education programme offered by Wynkids focused on learning attitude and habits catered to children’s growth in more wholesome aspects,” says Low.

“More importantly, Yi Xian was able to acquire the right mindset, be it towards her learning or life in general. It was a huge load off my mind since I need not worry about whether she would do well in the future.”

The journey began

Yi Xian was enrolled under the Little Wynners programme, which is tailor-made for students aged between seven and nine years old.

“I liked learning at Wynkids, because there were a lot of games. I got to know many new friends. We played and had fun together,” she said when asked about her experience.

A change took place

Yi Xian has graduated from the Wynkids programme and her parents were very satisfied with the improvements they saw in her.

She gained a better learning attitude and started to enjoy reading more.

Low also found that her daughter paid more attention in her studies. In fact, Yi Xian actually applied the effective learning techniques taught by the coaches and this led to improvements in her academic results.

“She has a better sense of time management and has learned to balance between studying and playing. It is the games and activities that make learning lively. This is where children can pick up their learning better,” says Low.

Observing Yi Xian through the whole course of her transition, Low learned to empathise with what parents go through in guiding their children.

She says, “I’ve seen for myself how my daughter has improved with Wynkids. I sincerely hope this will serve as a reference, especially to those who are still clueless in nurturing their children.”

“We can’t tell how far they can go but we can guide them towards a goal they want to reach. It might appear surprising but children do sometimes know what they want to achieve, all they need is a little help getting there.”

Undoubtedly, guidance paves the path towards excellence. Low expresses that the coaches deserve credit for their efforts in guiding Yi Xian in her development.

The Wynkids programme for children aged seven to 18 is accepting students for the March intake. Register before March 9 to enjoy a promotion fee of RM250 per month (terms and conditions apply).
