THEMED Attractions and Resorts Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian government’s investment arm, Khazanah Nasional Berhad. It was incorporated in June 2009 to develop, manage and operate theme parks and attractions in Malaysia.
It also serves as a catalyst for the leisure and tourism industry and to bring premier international theme parks and attractions to the region.
These theme parks include KidZania Kuala Lumpur, an indoor family education and entertainment centre, which offers an interactive learning and entertainment experience; Legoland Malaysia – the sixth Legoland to be built in the world and the very first in Asia; Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, the first of its kind outside of Japan; The Little Big Club, a single themed attraction that is home to five popular global characters; and LAT’s Place, a themed restaurant with live animation based on the popular Kampung Boy (Village Boy) character by famous local cartoonist, Lat. Themed Attractions will also develop, manage and operate KidZania Singapore.
Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, The Little Big Club and LAT’s Place are situated in a four-level building that is strategically located in Nusajaya Johor. Nusajaya Johor is a 20-minute drive from the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, 25 minutes from the Senai International Airport and just 10 minutes from Legoland Malaysia.
Families can play and learn via rides, activities and shows that provide them with an immersive learning and play experience.
At Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, families with young children can experience Friendship Land with its playground, tea cup rides and have photo opportunities with Hello Kitty and her friends. Children can also have an unforgettable birthday celebration in one of the Apple and Strawberry Party Rooms.
The Little Big Club houses five lovable children’s characters – Bob the Builder, Barney, Angelina Ballerina, Pingu and Thomas and Friends. This is the first time that the five popular global characters have been housed in a singlethemed attraction, adding to the originality and exclusivity of The Little Big Club.
The Little Big Club features a series of rides and interactive activities that follow the HIT Entertainment characters’ theme. Key features for this theme park include a variety of interactive and engaging rides for young children from Bob’s Can-Do Crew scrambler ride to the scoop ride.
LAT’s Place is an animated themed restaurant, which brings the world of legendary local cartoonist Datuk LAT’s famed Kampung Boy character to life.
The first of its kind in the world, LAT’s Place provides audiences an engaging and interactive animated experience from LAT’s storybook. It has a story linedriven content that revolves around the preparation of a feast and community activities, a session that lasts 80 minutes.
