Following Microsoft’s surprise announcement that Rise of the Tomb Raider would be an Xbox one timed exclusive, Sony fired a return salvo, revealing interesting updates for the PLAYSTATION 4 and upcoming titles for the console.

one of the more exciting titles announced was Hellblade — while not much is known about the game at this point, we are expecting great things as it’s helmed by ninja Theory which made hits such as Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and the DMC: Devil May Cry.

Q-games, the developer that brought the excellent Pixel-Junk series, has been working with Sony Computer Entertainment on a new game called The Tomorrow Children for the PS4.

From what we can tell, the game seems to have a lot of mining action going on, as well as some shooting, as characters try to take down large monsters that wouldn’t look out of place in an Ultraman cartoon.

Possibly the biggest surprise was that the so-called “PT” interactive teaser (available on the PSN Store) is actually a teaser for a new Silent Hill game called simply Silent Hills and it’s made by Kojima Studios together with movie director guillermo Del Toro.

on the hardware side, Sony also announced that System Software Update 2.0 will launch in Autumn (which for Malaysians means that it’ll appear anytime from September onwards) with a major new feature called Share Play.

Share Play will allow gamers to invite friends to join them in a shared gameplay experience even if they don’t own the game. if it works as promised, Share Play could revolutionise co-op gameplay as we know it.

Update 2.0 will also allow users to upload game footage directly to YouTube and also view it on the PS4’s YouTube app.
