WING HIN Motorsports team and its partner Total Oil Malaysia are confident of securing a podium finish at this weekend’s Sepang 12-Hour race. The team is entering two Toyota 86 racecars in the competition.

“This is our third year participating in the Sepang 12-Hour race and we are feeling very confident for a podium, especially after our racecar returned from an engine rebuild by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) specialists in Japan,” said Kenny Lee, the driver of the team’s racecar No. 86.

Lee said that in addition to major changes for the team’s two Toyota 86 racecars (No. 86 and No. 88), the outfit had also invested in new telemetry equipment to better monitor the cars and help relay information back to the drivers.

This year marks Total’s inaugural participation in the Sepang 12-Hour race, providing Wing Hin Motorsports with its endur- ance-grade lubricants.

Total Oil Malaysia senior marketing manager Ee Hood Liang said motorsports is the perfect platform for the French petroleum brand to participate and help grow the sports in Malaysia.

“We are happy to be given an opportunity to collaborate with Total Oil Malaysia and hope that this new partnership will allow us to achieve greater success and enhance our positioning in motorsports,” said Wing Hing Motorsports director of sales and racing division Simon Loh. - JAY WONG
