The Gallardo’s successor finally shows up on our shores, and iT is as impressive as iT is made ouT To be.
THE highly anticipated Lamborghini Huracan LP6104 has finally arrived with its potent naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 engine and costing RM2.1mil (including taxes) to own. The Lamborghini Gallardo’s successor is equipped with a petrol engine producing 610hp at 8,250rpm and 560Nm of torque at 6,500rpm with both direct and indirect injection – Lamborghini’s Iniezione Diretta Stratificata (IDS).
With the engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission – the Lamborghini Doppia Frizioine (LDF), the Huracan can rocket to 100kph in 3.2 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 325kph.
This supercar also comes equipped with automatic Start/Stop technology and has a fuel efficiency rated at 12.5L/100km on the combined cycle.
Its 20-inch wheels don 245/30 (front) and 305/30 (rear) tyres from Pirelli - partially hiding its carbon ceramic brakes.
With a dry-weight of 1,422kg, drivers can choose three driving modes - Strada (Road), Sport and the most extreme Corsa (Race).
The different modes alter the car’s characteristics and behaviour; including gearbox, exhaust note, electronic stability control and power delivery to its all-wheel-drive system.
Also altered are the optional Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (a variable steering ratio system) and a magneto-rheological suspension damper control.
Inside the jet fighter-like cabin is a 12.3inch full-colour TFT instrument panel, displaying the rev-counter, speed, navigation routes and other infotainment functions – configurable by the driver.
Materials used within the cabin is a combination of Nappa leather and Alcantara with several colour combinations available for further customisation.
“The beauty of the Huracan is that it unites unparalleled performance with breathtaking dynamics, excellent quality, wide-ranging technologies and is still suited for everyday use,” said Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur chief operating officer Marcus Chye. — JAY WONG
