Extensive spread to suit all tastes

-

EDERAL Hotels International unveiled the new Kontiki Restaurant on Sept 19 at The Federal KL. Its modern contemporary interior design offers an extensive and specially selected buffet spread with an elevated interactive dining experience and an open kitchen, where its team of chefs prepares meals live.

This stylish restaurant is located on the mezzanine floor and offers a view of the outdoor pool, embraced by a lush tropical garden and tree lights.

A high ceiling with globe lights make the Kontiki float, evoking the dreamy feeling of being out at sea on a serene moonlit night.

In the evening, the buffet dinner features an additional barbecue station with a wide array of seafood, shellfish, poultry and meat.

This cylindrical barbecue station is one of a kind and is also where the shawarma grill and rotisserie oven are located. Savour prime cuts of meat, delectable seafood and vegetables grilled or barbequed to perfection. Try Kontiki’s signature local marinades and spice for some added spice and heat.

Kontiki also serves Malaysian favourites and kid’s meals in its a la carte menu and a good selection of local dishes that reflect the richness of Malaysian culture.

The a la carte menu focuses on The Federal’s perennial favourites such as Nyonya Laksa, Asam Laksa, Prawn Noodles and Hainan Chicken Rice, accompanied by pastas, pizzas and sandwiches.

This new menu highlights an eclectic fusion of South Pacific dishes such as Ika Rimurimu (poached snapper fillet with seaweed sauce served with potato pudding), Mitikau Stew (beef cubes stewed with root vegetables and served with roasted sweet potato), Reme Tapatapahia (grilled lamb chops with apple mint sauce) and Kaimoana Platter (deep-fried seafood platter with a fruit salsa dip).
