Comedy plans

GUESS who wants to to be a comedian?

Madonna has admitted she would love to try her hand at standup comedy if she was unable to continue in the music industry. The Material Girl hitmaker said this when asked what she would do if she couldn't perform anymore.

“My plan is ... I am going to do stand-up comedy. I've worked it all out. I've done it in front of someone and I made them laugh.”

Following her nasty fall whilst performing at the Brit Awards, the 56-year-old singer has insisted on doing a “sit-down comedy” routine to ensure she doesn’t suffer the same fate.

She said: “I like the idea of me sit- ting on a chair with a table, maybe a drink or two, and just talking about my life. I’d say funny things and tell funny stories. It would be funny. Call it sit-down comedy.”

Meanwhile, Madonna also revealed she was suffering whiplash after her fall at the award ceremony.

Speaking on ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show, she said: “I didn't hurt my butt, but I hurt my head. I know how to fall, I have fallen off my horse many times. I had little bit of whiplash, I smacked the back of my head. And I had a man standing over me with a flashlight until about 3am to make sure I was compos mentis.”

“I am always nervous of live TV, when you’re singing, you can’t make any mistakes, the worst thing is you fall down stairs. I like to make my shows dangerous but then there is danger.”

The surprising tumble has been nicknamed “Cape Fear” – but Giorgio Armani – who designed the cape – said the wardrobe malfunction wasn’t his fault, reported AP.

“Madonna, as we know, is very difficult,” the designer said with a smile backstage after his Emporio Armani show in Milan.

“This cape had a hook and she wanted a tie, and she wasn’t able to open it with her hands. That’s all there is to it.” — Bang Showbiz/AP
