THE conclusion of Shell Malaysia’s #ShellPledge contest found a lucky grand prize winner to drive home the recently launched Mazda2 with SkyActiv technology. While the winner, Emily Yap, drove home a brand new Mazda2 sponsored by Bermaz Motors Trading Sdn Bhd, three second prize winners each received a Samsung Galaxy tablet, five third prize winners received a Jawbone Bluetooth portable speaker and 20 consolation prize winners received a Starbucks gift card.
“I am thankful to Shell Malaysia for this wonderful prize and I stand by my #ShellPledge to continue practising fuel efficiency in my daily driving,” said Yap.
The contest was held in October last year, in conjunction with the Shell FuelSave College Competition last year, which garnered over 15,000 entries on the Shell Pledge Wall that was also featured on the Shell Malaysia website at www.shell.com.my.
The participating college teams were tasked to persuade members of the public to make a commitment to practise fuel efficiency by making a #ShellPledge.
The pledges showcased an interesting collection of witty, light-hearted and educational photos and captions around smarter mobility, fuel efficiency and being better drivers on the road.
Members of the public had to submit a photo and caption on Instagram or via www.shell.com.my/shellpledge with a message on smarter driving habits and fuel efficiency tips and were hashtagged #ShellPledge to be eligible for the contest.
“We hope that by making a #ShellPledge, participants will sincerely take the effort to practise fuel efficiency and in turn, play a part in achieving a sustainable energy future that will benefit us all,” said Shell Malaysia Trading and Shell Timur managing director Azman Ismail.
