Building well-rounded graduates
QIUP’s goal is to develop well-rounded graduates who not only excel in their studies but also participate in conferences and educational competitions during their study here.
First-year medical undergraduates selected for the Third International Public Health Conference and 20th National Public Health Colloquium, which took place in Kuching, Sarawak, had their paper chosen among thousands of papers submitted for selection.
This paper was entitled “Prevalence of Hypertension and its risk factors in an Orang Asli community in Perak, Malaysia”.
In addition, four undergraduates of the Bachelor of Computer Science programme were crowned champions at the national level of the IBM Mobilithon 2013 competition.
Faculties and network
There are three faculties and one centre at QIUP – the Centre for Foundation Studies, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Integrative Sciences and Technology and Faculty of Business, Management and Social Sciences. Programmes are offered at the Foundation, Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate levels.
At the Foundation level, the programmes offered are Business and Science, while at the Diploma level, Hotel Management, Business Management, Tourism Management and Accountancy programmes are offered.
A wide range of programmes are offered at the Degree level: Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biotechnology, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electronics and Communications Engineering and more.
At the Postgraduate level, the Master of Business Administration programme is offered.
