Top in the world award
FOR the third year running, Brickfields Asia College (BAC) A-Level students received the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for their Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) series.
Express Route student Audrey Siew Sze Yen scored the highest marks in the world for A-Level Law and Economics at the November 2014 exams, while Standard Route students Leow Ho Eng and Teh Zhuo Li scored the highest marks in the world for AS Level Law and AS Level Business Studies respectively.
Since 2010, BAC students have been awarded the Top in the World Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards (formerly Cambridge Brilliance Awards) for Law and Business Studies four times, with three consecutive wins in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The Cambridge GCE A-Level Programme is one of the pre-university programmes offered at BAC.
The A-Level Express Route is unique to BAC as this programme coupled with the UK Transfer Degree Programme (Law or Business) allows students to graduate up to two years earlier than their peers on the standard 18 or 24 month route.
Pre-university programme CIE A-Level is ideal for students undecided of the route their tertiary education path takes, for it leads to a broad range of programmes.
Students interested in furthering their studies in Law, Business, Medicine, Finance, Engineering or Communication among others can select from a wide range of A-Level subjects that BAC offers – Biology, Chemistry, Law, Economics, Accounting, English Literature and Mathematics.
Students looking forward to getting a head start in their careers will find the BAC A-Level Express Route the perfect option for them.
Coupled with BAC’s UK Transfer Degree Programme in Law or Business, students will be able to graduate up to two years ahead of their peers, making BAC the fastest and smartest way to over 100 UK law and business degrees.
Students can opt for the BAC Foundation in Arts Programme. It has been designed and developed to allow students to proceed to a wide range of undergraduate degrees.
The success of BAC's students is attributed to its teaching faculty, which consists of qualified lecturers with significant teaching experience.
This faculty is complemented by the college's state-of-the-art facilities with over RM100mil invested in the new Petaling Jaya campus, which include a comprehensive library and research centre, computer labs, moot court, the Rock Academy music school and the Monster Fit fitness centre.
BAC also operates two student accommodation centres for outstation students – The Mansion being the latest addition.
To make tertiary education accessible, the BAC Education Fund awards Merit Scholarships and Financial Aid Scholarships to students based on their academic excellence and financial need.
BAC also collaborates with The Star, MAPCU and Sin Chew Education Funds to provide students more options.
BAC is open every day, Monday to Friday 10am to 9pm; and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
The April 2015 intake is underway and students signing up will receive free books and study materials.
