The following are several pathways to a career in the world of design:
Multimedia Design A study in Multimedia Design prepares one to design, manage and produce visual communications by mastering key software applications, web content management and graphics animation. This knowledge will enable the person to create Internet contents, web pages, marketing and advertising collaterals, and multimedia projects.
The SEGi University Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Multimedia Design programme guides students in gaining in-depth knowledge and skills in the key areas of multimedia design context such as web design, web programming,
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) design, user experience design, animation, digital video production and multimedia project management.
Students graduating with the SEGi University Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Multimedia Design can be part of creative and art agencies to develop a career as an Art Director, Multimedia Designer, Web Designer, Digital Animator or Video Editor.
Visual Communication Design From print (newspapers and magazines) to screen (web interfaces, film titles and television graphics) and right through to environmental applications (exhibitions and signage systems), visual communication informs and assists us in our daily lives.
To get started on projects like these demands creative thinking and an eye for detail.
The SEGi University Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Visual Communication Design programme equips students with the skills, abilities and creative approaches to pursue a promising career in the creative design industry as a Creative Director, Retail Designer, Brand Strategist and Strategic Planner. Interior Architecture Interior architecture is the combination of interior design and architecture. An interior architect is qualified and experienced to explore how the interiors of buildings such as office blocks, houses and hospitals can be inhabited, used and experienced at its maximum capacity. He can also change the interior of buildings to meet different needs and functions, for example from a multi-storey car park to a modern office block.
The demands and requirements for well-designed interior spaces will continue to change and develop in response to needs, new technologies, social and cultural practices. New materials, technologies and techniques are giving interior architects exciting new ways to use space and new environmentally friendly technologies for heating and lighting.
The programme will provide students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to respond to future professional challenges through innovative, responsible and sustainable design practices, and to give them a clear understanding of the international interior architecture market and industry structure.
