UNIVERSITY Gadjah Mada, Jogjakarta is the largest Indonesian university in terms of student population. It is situated in the ancient city of Jogjakarta – a cultural and intellectual centre crammed with over 50 prestigious universities and academies.

Jogjakarta is a student city that offers a friendly environment with affordable living cost, easy public transportation and harmonious surroundings.

Over the last decade, University Gadjah Mada has attracted thousands of Malaysians in the field of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.

The five-and-a-half year undergraduate medical programme – conducted in English – accepts about 40 to 50 qualified Malaysian students via a rigorous entrance examination.

Upon successful selection, students are assisted by 259 faculty members, 65 of whom are PhD holders, 75 master degree holders and 71 specialists or subspecialists.

The Faculty of Medicine is ably supported by the 750 bedded Sardjito General Hospital, Banyumas District Hospital and Dr Soeradji General Hospital.

Nugrahan Sdn Bhd is one of the official representatives of University Gadjah Mada.

The university was ranked 103rd in the world for Life Sciences and Biomedicine by the – QS World University Rankings in the year 2009 – out stripping Malaysian public universities.

The university also accepts Malaysian students into their five-year undergraduate Dental Programme, their fouryear Pharmacy and five-year Veterinary Science programme – all recognised by the Malaysian Government.

The cost of obtaining these recognised degrees from University Gadjah Mada is almost half of that in private Malaysian university programmes.

University Gadjah Mada will be conducting an entrance examination in May, and Nugrahan Sdn Bhd invites qualified Malaysian students to register as early as possible.

It allows the students ample time to prepare for the selection examinations, as Nugrahan Sdn Bhd will forward past year questions and reading materials, and conduct intensive revision classes. Due to the competition, students are advised to register early with Nugrahan Sdn Bhd.

Interested students are advised to call 1800 222 939 during office hours or visit its office at Suite B-5-15A, Block B, 5th Floor, Unit 15, Megan Avenue II, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur.
