One of the programmes offered under the area of hospitality and creative arts is Bachelor in Fashion Design with Marketing (Hons).
This undergraduate academic programme leverages on a unique learning opportunity in the combined disciplines of fashion design, pattern drafting and sewing techniques, garment construction, fashion marketing and management.
The programme aims to explain the central concepts in fashion design through practical and theoretical approaches, allowing students a good overview of conception through to completion of any concept.
The course allows students to use all the theories and skills gained during the course to develop their final presentation.
Students will be able to create real works of art to share their sense of style as an industry professional and are able to enrich their networking and create their own portfolio before they join the workforce.
As such, graduates of the programme are expected to be competent to handle common fashion designing matters and to understand various phases of fashion (apparel) development from design inception to production and marketing through to sales.
Theory and practical sessions will help them apply the knowledge gained at the university effectively.
